Swadlincote staff are on track to get healthy thanks to support from our Healthy Workplaces Derbyshire team.
Dellner UK Ltd starting working with Healthy Workplaces Derbyshire in September 2024 after finding out about the services we could offer.
The Swadlincote site manufactures and maintains train track components across the globe.
Kevin Doherty is the site’s Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment manager.
He said:
“Supporting our employees in any way we can from a health perspective is beneficial to both ourselves - from a business point of view, and for our employees so using the scheme made sense.
“From a business perspective, if the results did show up any potential issues, the hope is employees act on the results leading to a reduction in absentee days.
“From a workforce point of view, it shows we care for our employee’s wellbeing and also gives them a good overview of their current health position."
Our Healthy Workplace Derbyshire team visited the site over 6 days on 2024 and carried out 47 health checks.
Kevin says that communication between the healthy workplaces team and the business was very good, working to ensure the service was delivered at appropriate, convenient times.
He added:
“It is good that a service such as this is offered in this day and age of cutting costs.”
“We as a business benefitted and our employees appreciated the service.”
